The March 1st parade, beginning at 2 p.m. will be a festival of merengue provided by Diómedes, El Sujeto and Jucafre. The music will accompany La Vega residents as they celebrate their party with the “limping devils” as their main protagonists.

There will be a huge, multicolored show featuring folkloric groups from each of the participating regions, according to the festival organizers headed by Fausto Ruiz of La Vega Syndicate and Orlando Lora, president of the La Vega Carnival Union (UCAVE).
Great attention has been paid to every detail related to the logistics of an event of this size in which large numbers of people attend. Careful security and traffic coordination has been organized to make certain things run smoothly, according to businessman Luis Medrano, in charge of organizing the event.
The parade, which begins on Pedro A. Rivera Avenue, will be transmitted by satellite by Vega TV, Coral 39 and Mangu Music Television.
