A Sustainable Development Watchdog Initiative in the Dominican Republic
Respect Season Closures in 2020!
The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and CODOPESCA have announced the closure of the following seasons in the Dominican Republic in 2020: crab and lobster season is closed from March 1 through June 30; conch season is closed from July 1 through October 31; and shark fishing is prohibited for the entire year. We urge owners and administrators of supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants, as well as fishmongers and fisherman and society at large, to refrain from fishing, storing, purchasing, or selling these products during the respective season closures.

Documentary Isla de Plastico in Dominican theaters
