The primary objective of this activity was to build bridges between corporations, universities and students, in an effort to raise awareness amongst society of the important role internships play in the academic development of young people.

“Its part of the corporate sector’s responsibility to serve as a fundamental leader in education, never replacing the university, nor assuming its role, but rather understanding the social and economic benefit of internships,” explained InteRDom Coordinator, Alicia Alonzo.

“Internships are instruments of technological innovation, attracting qualified human resources for businesses, representing a distinct contribution in the formative process of the next generations,” Alonzo contended.

InteRDom’s Annual Review, which takes place annually at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo , is an event that promotes debate concerning trends in management, capacity building and development in the area of human resources.

This conference relied on support from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), Associación de Administradores de Gestión Humana (ADOARH – Association of Human Resource Administrators), the Dominican Ministry of Labor, and Ponificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
