Culture Ministry Announces the Deadline for Entries for the Annual Literature and Music Award

		Culture Ministry Announces the Deadline for Entries for the Annual Literature and Music Awards Secretary of State for Culture, through the General Secretary of Books and Reading , announced the deadline for entering works that will participate in the Annual Literature and Music Awards for the year 2008. The deadline has been set for January 31, 2008 at 4:00 PM in the afternoon. Basilio Belliard, director of Books and Reading, reminded potential participants in the competition that the accepted genres and categories are: Poetry, Novels, Short Stories, Essays, Theater, History and Children’s Literature. Each entry should be handed in from between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM in the afternoon at the Office of Books and Reading of the Secretary of State for Culture, located on George Washington Avenue at the corner of President Vicini Burgos, in front of the obelisk. Awards for this year’s winners, in each genre or category, have been increased to 250,000 Dominican pesos.
