An Evening of Jazz and Cultural Spaces at the 28th NBVA 2015

The Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) and the organizing committee of the 28th National Biennial of Visual Arts 2015, organized the panel “Gestión y acción en los espacios culturales dominicanos” in the Auditorium of the MAM.


The get-together was attended by Marianne de Tolentino, of the Gallery of Fine Arts; Juan Sánchez, of the Cultural Center of Spain; Noé Zayas, of Centro Cultural de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL); and Purísima de León de Guerra, from the Mirador Cultural Center.


The event was held in the auditorium of the Museum of Modern Art, where the panelists shared their experiences in the efforts, activities and agendas of the capital city’s cultural spaces. The panel was moderated by art critic and head curator of the MAM, Amable López Meléndez.


Then, the “Evening of Jazz,” in which the Big Band of the Conservatory of Music performed a wide repertoire to the delight and enjoyment of the attendees, was held at the esplanade of the Museum of Modern Art (MAM).


The 28th Biennial of Visual Arts will be open to the public every day until November 16, with extended hours from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, at the Museum of Modern Art, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, located at Av. Pedro Henríquez Ureña, Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte.
