Campaign to Collect Medicine, Food and Other Items For the Victims of Tropical Storm Olga

The non-governmental BRA Dominicana is becoming involved in the effort to control infectious diseases in communities where families were affected by Tropical Storm Olga in the provinces of Duarte (Lower Yuna), La Vega, Sánchez Ramírez, La Barquita and Monte Plata. The NGO is calling upon citizens to donate medicine, plastic containers to store drinking water, food, mattresses, sheets, bleach, mosquito nets, household items, useful school supplies and clothing for children.

According to a press release sent by the NGO, “the intervention of BRA Dominicana will permit these families to recuperate from the traumatic situation caused by the floods and guarantee them better health.”

These activities will be undertaken by medical and technical personnel of BRA Dominicana.
