Journalism Awards on Climate Change Reporting
Santo Domingo, 27 de Abril de 2015

The Dominican College of Journalists (CDP), the National Council for Climate Change and Mechanism for Clean Development (CNCCMDL) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GTZ) called on journalists to participate in the First Journalism Prize for Climate Change Reporting.

The prize is directed at reporters and journalists from the print, digital, radio and broadcast media in the Dominican Republic. Journalists are being asked to submit their work published between June 1, 2014 through June 1, 2015. Entries must not have been recipients of previous prizes or awards.

The categories open for participation include print, digital, radio and television. The winners will be given a certificate and 3,000 Euros to cover the costs of participating in an international conference or course related to journalism and/or climate change.

In addition, the prize will cover the cost of participation, transportion, lodging, visas, and a per diem. All of this will be organized, managed and paid for by the German Agency for International Cooperation.

The objective of the award is to encourage journalists to write about the different areas of climate change and recognize their role in the dissemination of this topic.

Entries must be submitted in Spanish and applicants must complete the registration form and send it to the headquarters of the Dominican College of Journalists.
