During the film series, the trilogy of the Trujillo dictatorship will also be screened, “El Poder del Jefe”, and two films about the administrations of Dr. Joaquín Balaguer, “La Herencia del Tirano” and “La Violencia del Poder”. The screening of the two short documentaries “Tras Las Huellas de Palau” and “Imágenes de un Artista” will follow. The first of these short films marks Fortunato’s directorial debut and addresses the life and work of Francisco Arturo Palau, the first Dominican filmmaker, while the second film addresses the work of plastic artist Frank Almánzar.
