The 12th International Book Fair of Dominican Women Writers in the United States will be held on March 6, 7 and 8, 2015. It is one of the most important events for the literary and cultural work of the Dominican women writers residing in New York.

The Fair is a collaborative event between the Dominican Women Development Center and the Hostos Community College, GFDD/Funglode, the Dominican Commissioner of Culture and the Dominican Consulate in the City of New York, among others.

The Fair will be dedicated to writer Rhina Espaillat, it pays tribute to the merit of folklorist Ricardo Ureña, and honors the career of writer Elizabeth Balaguer.

This Fair will facilitate and stimulate the exchange of contacts by organizing meetings that writers, publishers and librarians will attend.

The 12th International Book Fair of Dominican Women Writers in the United States will be a vibrant literary and cultural festival that will be attended by Spanish-speaking men and women, to celebrate the literature written by Dominican women and by women from all over the world, who voice the modern and postmodern universal thought. The Fair’s opening ceremony will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 6, in the theater of the Isabella Home Center, which is located at 515 Audubon Avenue, New York, NY 10040.

The Fair will take place on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, from 10 am to 6 pm, in the halls of the Dominican Commissioner of Culture, located at 541 West, 145 St, between Amsterdam and Broadway in Manhattan.
