“La Locura de Juana, closes Pocket Theater”
After three very successful weeks of great theater presentations, the V Ibero-American Pocket Theater 2014 of the Guloya Theater comes to its last week of performances. To conclude this event, Lorena Oliva takes the Otto Coro stage of the Guloya Theater with her most recent performance “Juana, una Locura de Amor (Juana, a Love Madness)”with performances scheduled from Thursday the 25th to Sunday the 28th of September.
“Juana, una Locura de Amor” is a play written by Argentinian Pepe Cibrián Campoy. It tells us the story of Queen Joanna of Castile (the daughter of Isabella the Catholic and Ferdinand II of Aragon) who goes mad with love as a result of her relationship with Phillip the Handsome. Condemned due to her misfortune, she lived locked up for 46 years because of her so-called madness and was expelled from her kingdom without being able to wield the power that she was entitled to. A victim to her own father, husband, and son, Joanna makes of her imprisonment her own liberation.
This play is performed by renowned actress Lorena Oliva, who is accompanied on stage by actor Canek Denis. Renowned Dominican actor and theater Director Manuel Chapuseaux, is the Director of this performance.

Performances will run from Thursday the 25th to Saturday the 27th of September at 8:30 p.m. and on Sunday the 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the Guloya Theater, which is located on C/ Arzobispo Portes #205, Colonial Zone.
