The Ministry of Culture will release a historical report titled “Following the Footsteps of Juan Bosch in Chile.”

The Ministry of Culture (MINC) and the Chilean Juan Bosch Committee will release a fascinating historical report titled “Following the Footsteps of Juan Bosch in Chile”. Cuban Psychologist Catalina Bosch Carcuro will head the event.


Personalities linked to the field of culture have been invited to attend this activity, which is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16th, in the National Library, at 6:00 p.m


The report is a synthesis of a series of activities carried out for five years, in which Chilean, Dominican and Latin American representatives committed to the integration of the region also participated.

The Chilean Juan Bosch Committee explained that the report would be released with the objective of remembering Juan Bosch’s stay in Chile during the decade of the fifties.


This highly cultural activity is being presented with the objective of recognizing the experiences, accomplishments, learning, and challenges of Professor Juan Bosch during his five years of intense work in Chile.


Part of the committee’s agenda includes a reediting of Bosch’s pieces with the purpose of making them known among the newer generations through a systematic approach within educational and cultural fields.


Biography of the author, Catalina Bosch Carcuro holds a professional degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Legal and Forensic Psychology, and graduate certificates in Family and Couples Therapy courses.


In addition to other lines of work within her discipline, she has participated in various educational workshops for children, youth and teenagers through community workshops, children’s centers, schools, and universities. These educational workshops focus primarily on topics of violence prevention, conflict resolution and education for peace.


Since 2009, she has been the Executive Secretary of the Chilean Juan Bosch Committee, which is the organization responsible for the dissemination of the life, work and ideals of the distinguished Dominican in South America.


Desde el año 2009 ejerce la posición de secretaria ejecutiva del Comité Chileno Juan Bosch, organización que ha logrado avanzar en la difusión de la vida, obra e ideales del insigne dominicano en el sur de América.
