Renowned painter and promoter of Dominican art, Oscar Abreu, began his 2014 activities with an innovative concept that joins the world of fashion to the visual arts world, with the participation of several designers and a collective exhibition.


This new cultural project, titled “Rhythm, Color and Style”, will include a magnificent fashion show in the midst of the exhibition of paintings by important Dominican artists such as Sócrates Márquez, John Vanmeans, Luigi Jiménez, Dionisio Blanco, Jesús Desangles, Juan Andújar, Pedro Gallardo, Melchor Terrero, Aram Musset, Renato Encarnación and Karima Boutaleb.


The opening is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, starting at six o’clock in the afternoon, in the halls of special events of the Harlem Work Space, located at 2350 Fifth Avenue (at the corner with 142) in Harlem.


According to Abreu, “the public will enjoy a glamorous night with the presentation of the latest trends in the world of fashion, where charming models will be showcasing the work of Milagros Batista, Ona Otite, Vicky Little and Epperson.”


Renowned personalities of the political, social and cultural and life of the Hispanic community in New York and other cities have been invited to the event.
