Approximately 145 people, including employees of the Gran Ventana and the Blue JackTar hotels of Playa Dorada, participated in these training sessions that focused on the themes: culture and tourism awareness, by Jetti de Jesús, Tourism Management Consultant; food and beverage management for Mipymes, by Yanina Castillo, Dominican Treasures Coordinator; costs and sales, facilitated by Desireé de los Santos of INFOTEP; sanitation, by Grisel Durán of the same institution; and, institutional development and customer service, by Clara Barriola, Director of the Hotel Management career at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Santo Domingo.

This initiative seeks to develop a system that allows the destination to self-identify and self-characterize by offering its own culture not only to tourists, but especially to tourism entrepreneurs and all those working in this sector in Puerto Plata. This is the reason why the Quality Seal represents an awareness process for the local population to value and preserve its culture and traditions, while allowing tourists to know and discover it.

According to Jeannie Román, a Consultant hired by the Cluster for such purposes, a course on first aid will be offered on December 6th and 9th, as part of this program.
