Buen Vivir Productions 5th Annual Healthy Lunch Children’s Festival

This activity is focused around the campaign “No to Childhood Stress,”scheduled to take place Saturday, May 25th in the Megacentro and will be totally FREE for the whole family.

Childhood stress is a global problem, and Latin America is one of the most affected by it. The Dominican Republic also has a high number of children affected by this problem.

For the fifth year, BuenVivir Productions will again present the Children’s Festival for Healthy Lunches, scheduled Saturday, May 25th in the Megacentro starting at 11:00am. This time, attendees will be able to enjoy a cooking show, talks about childhood nutrition, healthy recipes, an art workshop, merchandise, vaccinations, tastings, raffles, gifts, contests and a whole lot of fun.

This year Healthy Lunches will focus around the campaign “No to Childhood Stress.” Why childhood stress? Because childhood is the most important age for a human being and it is when an individual’s emotional being is forged; childhood is a time characterized by changes and adaptation where children must confront new situations in order to overcome the hurdles of growing up. It is precisely these factors or situations that cause anxiety and stress, leading them to behave in ways considered different from what’s normal.

It is because of this that Healthy Lunches, with the help of psychology specialists, is looking for helpful strategies for parents to identify and confront this problem
