With an investment of over 2,051,000 pesos, the Government, through the State’sBudget Dining Rooms (ComedoresEconómicos del Estado), delivered 63,000 rations of raw and cooked foods to help low-income families in the Provinces of Hato Mayor and El Seibo, which are located in the Eastern region of the country.


The official stated that, following an explicit instruction from the President of the Republic, he is personally supervising the delivery of raw and cooked food to provide assistance to families who are in need of a helping hand from the Government.


The distribution ofconsumer goods in the basic food baskets was led by Mr. Ramón (Monchy)Rodríguez, who was accompanied by the Governors JesúsMejíaand Guadalupe Jáquez, fromthe aforementioned Provinces, as well asby the Trustee of ElSeibo, Gerardo Alfredo Jiménez, and community leaders from those areas.


During the food delivery operation, three thousand food combos were distributed, which can produce some 60,000 rations of food and about three thousand rations of cooked foodthrough two mobile kitchen units.


Monchy Rodríguez said that he is studying the possibility of establishing a permanent feeding program in the aforementioned provinces,as well as increasing the nutritional value of the rations to specifically benefit pregnant women and the elderly.


In that regard, Rodríguez stressed that he will continue touringevery corner ofthe neighborhoods, municipalities and provinces throughout the country, and bringing government assistanceby instructions from PresidentDanilo Medina, so that no Dominicans suffer from hunger.

In the municipality of El Seibo, 1,500 rations of raw food were distributed, helping residents in the neighborhoods of San Martin and El Mataderowith 500 rations each, and the residents of??Villa Guerrerowho received 500 rations of raw food fromthe basic food basket.


Similarly, the administrator of the Budget Dining Roomsordered that a mobile kitchen unit distributessome 1,500 rations of cooked food to benefit the residents of the Loma del Chivoneighborhood.


Meanwhile, the Government’s food distribution in the municipality of Hato Mayor consisted of some 1,500rationsof cooked food through a mobile kitchen unit that was installed in the Las Malvinasneighborhood.


The residents of La Javilla received some 500 rations of raw food,while in the area of ??Puerto Rico the Budget Dining Roomsdelivered another 500 rations, and in Los Hatillos 500 additional rations of raw food were provided to the families.


500 RATIONS ARE DELIVERED IN SAN JOSÉ DE LAS MATAS, SANTIAGO


The general manager of the State’sBudget Dining Rooms, Ramón MonchyRodríguez, delivered 500 rations of raw food to six communities in the municipality of San José de las Matas, Santiago.


The food distribution benefited the residents of Corozo, Inoa, El Rubio, ElHollyto, Las Matas de Canos and El Naranjo, remote communities of the municipal district of El Rubio, in the jurisdiction of San José de lasMatas, Santiago.


In addition, MonchyRodríguez pledged that,from this date forward,food supplieswill be delivered to the elderly community of El Rubio. Thefood distribution is expected to be made through the priest of that community, Father José Olivo.

During the event,Monchy was accompanied by Inoa’sTrustee, Erminio Rodríguez, who backedthe operation.
