The Culture and Art Foundation (Fiarte) and the Ministry of Culture will open to the public the paint exhibit “Tribute to the Juan Pablo Duarte Bicentennial.” The exhibit will take place from January 16 thru the 30th in the Ramón Oviedo Art Gallery at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The opening ceremony of the “Tribute to the Juan Pablo Duarte Bicentennial” will be attended by the authorities of the Ministry of Culture and the Fiarte Foundation, as well as by visual artists and people who love the arts.

Renowned national visual artists will paint the portrait of the nation’s Founding Father in their canvasses, including: Aram Musset, Pancracio Almonte, Fernando Veras, Pedro Luis Moronta, Milagros Mercado, Joel Gonell, África Javier, Rafael Trinidad, Rafael Osoria, Joaquín Rosario and Wandy Valdez.

The collective exhibit is part of the commemoration of the Juan Pablo Duarte Bicentennial, which is being organized in the country with the participation of public and private institutions.

Previously, this collection was exhibited within the Colonial Fest celebration, in which 23 artists were invited to the Museo de las Casas Reales (Museum of the Royal Houses) to recreate, through their paintings, the Founding Father of the Dominican nation.

The purpose of this activity is to rescue some of the patriotic values ??of our country, seen from the art perspective.
