FUNGLODE/GFDD kick off a series of publications of studies on the Santo Domingo metro and the feeder bus routes system.


The presentation of the publication will take place in FUNGLODE’s auditorium, at 7 pm with the participation of Carl Allen, the author of the book. The book includes interviews with key project stakeholders, statistics and information relevant to the transport system.


Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and its sister organization in the United States, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD),invite you to the launching of the report “El Metro and the Impacts of Transportation System Integration in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic,” next Tuesday, January 15.

The presentation of the publication will take place in FUNGLODE’s auditorium, at 7 pm with the participation of Carl Allen, the author of the book. The book includes interviews with key project stakeholders, statistics and information relevant to the transport system.


With this study, GFDD / FUNGLODE kick off a series of publications of studies and reflections that include research projects, articles and speeches that address critical issues of the contemporary world, with national, regional and global approaches.


This study evaluates the impact of the transport system on the quality of life of people with limited resources; traffic congestion; pollution reduction, and social and economic development of the city of Santo Domingo.

This publication also discusses the feeder bus routessystem.


Carl Allen is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School Master Programs in Public Policy and Urban Planning.
