Aisha Syed Taking Part in Culture Ministry Theater Orchestra Project

During her visit to the office of Culture Minister, José Antonio Rodríguez, the young violinist expressed satisfaction that the Ministry is including in it plans the creation of an artistic group that will provide opportunities to people in special conditions.

She praised the diagram the school is using and added that, “it is super organized and I am proud to be working with them. I know they have the best of intentions.”

Aisha Syed was referring to the Music for Life Foundation, which works with public school children in the Dominican Republic as well as London.  Currently, Aisha is in the country visiting various music schools, among those she mentioned are the Elemental Elila Mena, Farina Dináand theHogar de la Armonía (Home of Harmony), the last one being in her native Santiago.

“We are offering master classes and the Ministry of Culture is supporting us with this. I will teach the children with handicaps and give back a little bit of the enormous amount that I was given here,” said Aisha.

She praised the diagram the school is using and added that, “it is super organized and I am proud to be working with them. I know they have the best of intentions.”

Ms. Syed said that in June she will play in a concert with the National Symphony Orchestra and two others at the National Theater and in Cibao to introduce her new album called, “Pasión Latina.” In addition, she will be giving motivational talks and master classes during this time.

In December, she will officially present her new album, which enjoys support from the Ministry of Culture. Culture Minister José Antonio Rodríguez will give the main speech at the event.

Aisha Syed stressed that music is a universal language and has an excellent effect on the brain. “In our society, there is so much talent and if we want to get the best from it, we must dedicate time, teach people and stress discipline. Thank God, this is starting to happen now with the new initiative of the Ministry of Culture,” said Aisha.
