OISOE delivers the Villa Consuelo Market building to City Hall

The Office Overseeing State Works (OISOE – Oficina Supervisora de Obras del Estado), will formally deliver the Villa Consuelo Market building to City Hall this Thursday. Some 300 vendors will be able to conduct their commercial activities in a comfortable and safe mannerin the new facilities.

Miguel Pimentel Kareh, Director of the government agency, made the formal presentation to Mayor Roberto Salcedo, noting that the building has three levels, a basement and a parking lot.

“The first floor will house poultry, fish, meat, grains, groceries, and other supplies. The second level has beenfitted out to housebotanical products and jewelry, as well as several cafes.And the third floor will house the administrative offices and meeting room. The basement has been equipped withcold rooms and storage rooms,”he indicated.

Mr. Pimentel Kareh also said that the building can compete with other buildings housing markets in foreign countries, because of itssuitable conditions, viability, spaces and, above all, its conditioning for handling food itemssince the floors have been coated with aseptic paint,which ensures food safety.
