Directed by Leticia Tonosand produced by Sergio Gobbi and Joan Giacinti.


“We wanted to tell a story and focused on the quality of the interpretation while supporting ourselves on a sustainable script that allows the viewer to delve into the plot and live the emotions with the same intensity than the characters do,” said Leticia Tonos about the film.


Leticia Tonos continues filming her movie Cristo Rey in the densely populated area of ??the same name. The film isbeing produced by Sergio Gobbi, President of Compañía InternacionalDominicana(Dominican International Company) with executive producers Joan Giacinti, Diego Fernández and Leo Proaño, under the protection of the National Film Act.


Thisweek completes the five weeks established for filming,thereby complying, without interruption, with the worktimetable scheduled for the shooting stage.


Some scenes were filmed in Caliche, La 41, El Cementerio, El Hoyo de Chelín, and La 70, among other locations in the Cristo Reyneighborhood, which completed the main filming locations of the movie that Leticia is directing.


The film director reported that the movie would be ready by mid-2013 because, once the filming process is completed,the movie will be taken to Europe where post production will take place.


The main actors are James Saintl, Yasser MichelénCunilleraandAkari Endo, while well-known HumbertoCastellanos,”El Ché,” is part of the director’s team.


SpaniardKikaHúngarois the director of photography whose aim is to present an exceptional work that faithfully recreates the location where the plot of Cristo Rey unfolds.


Additionally,art director GesseleMadera,FerdinandoErbeti, in charge of costumes, and Ana Andrickson,the makeup artist,arepart of the “line up” of the film.


Leticia Tonos and CompañíaInternacionalDominicana, together with producers Sergio Gobbi and Joan Giacinti, haveopted for a film with depth, since they want to promote new film artists,as is the case with the stars of Cristo Rey.

Cristo Rey is the first Dominican film that will be released in Europe thanks to the negotiations made by the Film de L’Astre, a renowned French film production company.
