Under the auspices of the ManiquíRestaurante, Dominican designer Benito Antonio presented his new collection “Esencia” on the runways of the Fashion Gallery NYFW 2012, at the Helen Mills Event Space & Theater of New York City.

The public was dazzled by the glamour and femininity expressed by each one of his pieces. The local press called the collection one of the best in the show based on its style and excellent finishing.

“Esencia,” which evokes the femininity, simplicity and glamor of today’swoman who seeks to show her figure in classical and daring shorts and who, at the same time, wants to transmit an image of innocence, softness and formality without losing her liberty. Combined colors include gray, black and silver.

According to this emerging designer, Benito Antonio, this collection was created based on a diversity of materials such as: lentil sacks, charmeuse, chiffon, organza, podesua and lace details embroidered to reflect the feminine and glamorous Essence.

Benito Antonio graduated from Altos de Chavón and the Mercy Jaquez Tech Institute. This year, he presented his collection “Mystique” at Fashion WeekDominican Republic and “Essenceof a Diva” at Caribbean Fashion Week DR.
