The Star Foundation and the Pan American Investment Consortium, represented by Architect Luisa Morales, delivered school supplies to students in the communities of Villa Gautier in San Pedro de Macorís, to mark the start of the school year.

The school children thanked the Star Foundation and the Pan American Investment Consortium. “Thank you for helping us,” they chanted while receiving the school supplies.

The delivery of the school supplies was led by Architect Luisa Morales, Manager of the Pan American Investment Consortium, a company building a cement-producing plant in Villa Gautier, where it also implements a number of social programs that benefit the town and the surrounding communities.

The supplies were delivered to the elementary school students of Villa Gautier and the La Luisa and Guayabal communities. In attendance were the Trustee of Villa Gautier, Juan Reyes, and the Principals of the beneficiary schools.

Architect Luisa Morales said that the Pan American Investment Consortium and the Star Foundation care about education and are keen to collaborating with the students from these communities to help them develop so that, in turn, they promote national progress.

Likewise, she told the students that in the coming months the companies will give an award to the top five students, so she encouraged them to study each day in order to be selected.

“We support the community and we are with you. This is whywe do our best to help youadvance every day and contribute so that you can study,”Morales stated.

Professor Zeneida Ozuna, Principal of the Villa Gautier elementary school, expressed her deep satisfaction with the delivery of the school supplies to the students, and noted that for the second consecutive year the Pan American Investment Consortium provides such great help to the families and the school children.
