Some one thousand children and adolescents enjoyed the extraordinary show.


Aqua is an innovative performance that fuses water with circus performances and talented participants from Russian, Spain, Belgium, England, Vietnam, Chile and the United States, among other countries.


Children and teens from the different programs that function under the Office of the First Lady (DPD in Spanish), under the direction of First Lady Margarita Cedeño de Fernández, enjoyed Saturday afternoon’s performance of “Water,” a unique show that takes place in a swimming pool with more than a 100 gallons of water.


Nearly 2,000 children and teens from the Progresando programs, Community Technology Centers, Friends of the First Lady and children of collaborators of the institution were all delighted with the splendor of the scenery in the giant swimming pool, with changing lights, water ballet and special effects.


The show at the elegant Palacio de Lona, which served as the venue, grabbed the attention of the children who were spellbound by the magic of Felton John, giant bubbles made by the Vietnamese brothers, Janno and Fang Yan, the juggling of François Borie, the antics of the Calugas clowns and the amazing moves of Ricardo Sosa, the contortionist.


They were also rapt as they watched trapeze artist, Laura Millar, the two-headed statue of Gerome Murate, the Water Dancers, Gypsy Dance and Venice and Neon dance.
