UNIBE Students Will Travel to Florida International University to Earn a Dual Degree
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, June 22, 2012

The students will immerse themselves in the academic life at the American Institution, which will allow them to gain rich academic and cultural experiences.

UNIBE students will have the opportunity to gain a multicultural experience as they will immerse themselves in the academic life at FIU, which has been ranked as the third university in the United States with the largest number of international students making up its student body.

A total of 45 students from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), who are currently studying in the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a dual degree from Florida University International (FIU), will depart for the University in Miami (Florida) to spend a year taking specialization courses.  This is a very importantevent for both the country and the two universities, since it is the first time that the International Business School at FIU admitsand receives a group of forty five (45) students simultaneously as part of an agreement of dual degree at the bachelor’s level, although it has such an agreement with other universities in Latin America and in Europe. This is a recognition for both the academic quality of the program that FIU has with UNIBE and for the Dominican society, which has relied on the fact that its children pursue a college degree with a full curriculum with a global perspective and which is delivered entirely in English.

After having completed eight semesters at UNIBE and, therefore, after having completed the curriculum of the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, the students who have been admitted to Florida International University (FIU) will be studying subjects that will certify them with one or more of the seven (7) different concentrations that are being offered within this dual degreeprogram. Specifically the students may choose from the following concentrations: International Business, Marketing, Finance, Administrative Management, Human Resource Management, Management of Managerial Information Systems, and Real Estate Management. Similarly, they may select combinations of two concentrations, such as International Business and Finance, International Business and Administrative Management, and International Business and Marketing, among others.

UNIBE students will have the opportunity to gain a multicultural experience as they will immerse themselves in the academic life at FIU, which has been ranked as the third university in the United States with the largest number of international students making up its student body.

Similarly, the students will be using all the tools, facilities and logistical support provided by the Landon School of Business at FIU, such as the campus, dorms, cafeteria, gymnasium and access to one of the most prestigious schools in the United States in the area of ??international business, which recently has been ranked as the seventh best school by the Bloomberg News.
