Nathalie Ramírez has the rare ability of traveling inher own land. “The Human Being” (“El Ser Humano”) is the result of a relentlessjourney within our species. It is a celebration of the human beauty and absurdity through drawings.

“’The Human Being’portrays a wide range of characters in different situations, surrounded by landscapes and streets of our colonialdistrict,” explained the artist.

This is her first solo exhibition, which brings together a series of drawing reports about the daily life in the colonial district and the various characters that live there.

Ramírez studied Fine Arts at the Altos de Chavón School, where she received a scholarship to continue her studies at Parsons The New School For Design. “The Human Being”will remain open to the public until March 25^th.

During the exhibition the artist will provide free illustration workshops aimed at children and adults over 50, within the framework of the various educational programs that have been developed by the Spanish Cultural Centre. For more information please call 809 686 8212.
