In the 2012 version, the DGII promotes the services it offers to the taxpayers to facilitate their tax compliance,through the characters of the first Dominican video game Yara-rí.


The General Directorate of the Internal Revenue launched the 2012 Taxpayers’ Schedule, which this year includes the slogan “promoting a tax culture for responsible citizenship.”


The General Directorate of the Internal Revenue (DGII for its acronym in Spanish) launched the 2012 Taxpayers’ Schedule, which this year includes the slogan “promoting a tax culture for responsible citizenship.”


With this publication, the institution promotes three core values among the taxpayers: honesty, responsibility and solidarity, in order to promote public awareness on the social obligation of tax payings.


The visual approach of the Taxpayers’sSchedule made by the DGII’s Department of Tax Education, is portrayed by the charactersof the first Dominican educational-tax video game “Yara-ri”, which provides guidance on the face-to-face and virtual services offered by the DGII to facilitate the taxpayers’compliancewith their tax obligations, such as the Taxpayer Assistance Center, the Call Center, the Virtual Office;the facilities and benefits provided for in the tax laws;in addition tothe reminders of payment deadlines.


At the beginning of each year, the General Directorate of the Internal Revenueissues the “Taxpayers’Schedule” in order to guide its readers on theirtax paying duties and to promote a new tax culture amongthe Dominican society.


In this edition, each month of the year, the public is invited to find out how to be part of the growth of our country, by being supportive, responsible and honest, values ??that are also portrayed in the Yara-rí video game, which in the Taíno language means “good place”.
