These inspections are meant to provide follow-up of food storage conditions and the reception of food deliveries to verify that these are being done within the norms that guarantee food safety.

The General Directorate of Student Well Being, in coordination with the Department of Nutrition and Health and the technical planning area of the National Institute for Professional Technical Training (INFOTEP in Spanish), has four workshops lined up for the remainder of this school year and six for the beginning of next year.  The purpose of the workshops is to continue training bread and dessert makers who work in the School Food Program in the Marginal Urban areas in order to maintain a unified policy of criteria on formulae used for the making of bread, cakes and cookies.
