The Center for International Cooperation of the Israeli Foreign Ministry (MASHAV in Hebrew), the Embassy of Israel in Santo Domingo, the UNDP/ART and the FAO will offer a Mobile Course called “Workshop on Health and Animal Feed to Protect the Dominican Dairy Supply Chain.” The workshops will be given at the end of November and middle of December this year in the Provinces of  Dajabón  and Monte Plata.

Israeli experts from the International Training Center for Agricultural Development (ITCAD), Moshe Reches and Mordechi Liberboim, will exchange ideas, tools and necessary practices related to health and animal feed for the excellent milk production from their cows.

The objective of the workshop is to strengthen the capacity of small cattle ranchers in the Northeastern Line and Monte Plata so they can increase their productivity, diversify production and decrease losses caused by animal illnesses and drought.

Israel has a lot to share with the world in terms of development because of its location in an arid, sub-tropical climate combined with its capacity to generate advanced technology and train extraordinary experts. In addition, it is in a unique position of being a developed country with the recent experience of having been a developing country. For that reason, it finds simple, economic and practical solutions to the numerous problems facing the world, often finding “new solutions” for “new” problems.

Israel also offers training and advanced technology to any country that asks for it, offering tools that can provide a better and more dignified quality of life.

Latin American countries, among them the Dominican Republic, are the major beneficiaries of this type of assistance.

Through its own experience, Israel knows that certain conditions cannot to applied everywhere in the world. For that reason, it frequently insists that the Israeli experience can only be useful to satisfy local needs if similar conditions exist.

The Israeli Embassy in Santo Domingo has given courses and seminars in such important areas as business training, community education, tourism and culture in such diverse areas as agriculture, with the goal of uniting and disseminating ideas among Israelis and Dominicans that can serve as multipliers of this information and ideas that collaborate in the development of the nation.
