FIFE – Environmental International Film Festival in Paris

Every year, the Ile-de-France regional council organizes the FIFE – Environmental International Film Festival in Paris .

To celebrate 20 years of the Rio’s summit the 29th and next edition of the festival will take place in the beginning of the year 2012, from 7 till 14 February in the “Cinema des cineastes” in Paris and in various theatres in the Ile-de-France area.

After our July Call for entries and the summer break, we come back to your to remind you that we’re currently searching for films: features and short documentaries, fictions, short films and now web creations dealing with themes such as sustainable development, ecology, society, work issues, immigration…

The FIFE proposes a wide international selection (The Darwin’s Nightmare, Our Daily Bread, Crude or the latest DisneyNature production Hidden Beauty which opened our 2010 edition) and numerous personalities from arts of environment (Julie Bertucelli, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Julie Gayet, Luc Jacquet, Aïssa Maïga…) accompany us.

The festival welcomes 12 5000 spectators discovering freely  more than 110 films from 38 countries and to exchange, travel and discuss  with the directors, the specialists and the personalities of the festival.

The FIFE also develops a professional pole by proposing meetings, professional lunches and viewings of the selected unpublished films.

Numerous partners and a vast communication’s plan accompany the event: RATP & Métrobus (Paris Public Transport System & Publicity) posters, insert of the program in 180 000 magazines (French Elle, Cinema Magazine Premiere…), trailers in Nature et Découvertes stores and in a cultural network, vast environmental and associative relay …
