Present a video or photography and win a scholarship to the Altos de Chavón desing school or samsum prices.

“OJO GREEN” Photography: The objective is to capture in the lens of a photography camera and through the eye of the individual, what he or she feels must be preserved in the environment, whether it be flora or fauna, of the Dominican Republic.

The non-profit organization Atrévete por un Mejor Mañana (Take a chance for a better tomorrow), invites you to participate in the first edition of the video and photography contest “OJO GREEN”. This event is sponsored by Altos de Chavón Design School and Samsung. The contest is intended for photography or visual production lovers and artists, ages 14 an older. It seeks to promote a love for native species and highlight ecological themes. This contest is one of the activities of the first international ecological convention in the Dominican Republic, Primera Feria Ecológica Internacional en República Dominicana a project of the NPO.

“OJO GREEN” Photography: The objective is to capture in the lens of a photography camera and through the eye of the individual, what he or she feels must be preserved in the environment, whether it be flora or fauna, of the Dominican Republic. The three winners will be selected by Atrévete por un mejor mañana and will be the contestants who best meet the criteria for creativity, originality and quality in their proposals. 1° Place: 1 scholarship to the Design School Casa de Chavón + 1 Samsung screen.
2° Place: 1 scholarship to the Design School Casa de Chavón + 1 Samsung External Hard Drive
3° Place: 1 Samsung screen

*If outside the Dominican Republic, travel, lodging and shipping expenses will be paid by the winner.

“OJO GREEN” Video: To enter, go the http://www.talenthouse.com/atrevete-presenta-un-video-y-obten-una-beca. There, you can load a video of up to 5 minutes, captured on a professional or amateur camcorder. The video must feature a method to make the Dominican Republic greener. It must be creative, real, and persuasive. We will give special consideration to the projects with the most votes. Three winners will be selected.

1° Place: 1 scholarship to the Design School Casa de Chavón + 1 Samsung screen.
2° Place: 1 Samsung screen
3° Place: 1 Samsung digital picture frame

*If outside the Dominican Republic, travel, lodging and shipping expenses will be paid by the winner.
Each participant is allowed only one presentation per category (photography or video).
Projects will be received from: July 16, 2011
Deadline to submit projects: August 21, 2011
Voting Begins: August 22, 2011

Voting Ends: August 27, 2011
Winners Announced: August 28, 2011
