Program of Direct Flights from Puerto Rico to Puerto Plata is Inuagurated

Accompanied by dozens of tourists and a large number of journalists representing the Dominican and Puerto Rican media, the Deputy Minister of Tourism in the Northern District, Cesar Jose de Los Santos,  the director of the Dominican Office of Tourism Promotion in Puerto Rico, Cosette Garcia, and Ruben  Feliciano, chairman of Good Quality Tours, the operating company, inaugurated  the first direct flight  that will be in service throughout the summer between Puerto Rico and Puerto Plata.

“This is a project we have wanted to promote for a long time, because travelers tend to choose to know only a portion of our destination country, and are unaware of other places such as the North Coast, which, apart from sun and sand also offer a number of activities that they will not find anywhere else,”

In turn, Feliciano expressed his enthusiasm in offering this destination as a new vacation option for Puerto Ricans, while recalling that this is a place that is highly frequented by his countrymen, but  because of the absence of direct flights, tourism is usually directed to another part of the country.

“It fills me with great joy to be the forerunner of this project, together with the Dominican Tourist Office. To be able to give tourists the option to know all the richness that Puerto Plata offers, both in terms of natural and human resources, really fills me with great joy,” said Feliciano. “We are confident that this is not just going to take place this summer but will occur much more often,” he added.
