Fantine, Outstanding Talent Debuts in Santo Domingo

Dominican singer, Fantine, gave her first official public appearance at the Cantina del Agave in Santo Domingo.

With the natural timbre of her voice, this fascinating singer fuses a multicultural mix of Indie, Pop and Electro Soul while not forgetting her organic essence or her roots.

This was Fantine’s first time back home where she sang in English at her promotional concert to launch her music in her homeland.

“I am really happy to be able to bring my music to my homeland,” said the Russian-born singer as she mounted the stage.

During her performance, she expressed a full range of emotions as she showcased her equally full range of talent.

With the character and personality of a diva (in her case, on the road to becoming a diva), Fantine possesses the talent and tools to displace Amy Winehouse on the world pop scene.

Born in Moscow, Fantine has lived in several countries with her parents. She currently lives in Australia.

This constant movement has helped her develop a great capacity for adaptation as is reflected in her music, which includes new rhythms in her compositions that create a colorful and intense product.

Some of the songs she sang in her performance were “Perfect Strangers,” “Death at a Restaurant,” “Contra Banda,” “Eleven,” “Who Are You,” “Recover,” “Lost Here,” “Step On It,” “Rubberoom” and “So Good”.

Fantine was accompanied by Guy Frómeta on drums, David Vasquez on bass, Alfio Lora on the keyboard and Luis Payán on guitar.

Although no date has been confirmed, Fantine is planning another performance in Santo Domingo so her followers can fully enjoy her outgoing personality and talent on stage.
