International Actors are Given the Christopher Columbus Heraldic Order Award

Spanish actress Victoria Abril; Italian actress Claudia Cardinale; Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Toro and British writer, producer and director Bruce Logan all received the award.

President Leonel Fernández, under Decrees 643-10 and 644-10, bestowed the Order Christopher Columbus Heraldic Award on various international actors and filmmakers who were visiting the country as part the of 4th Dominican Republic Global Film Festival, sponsored by the Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), the Fundacion Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and its sister organization, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD).
