President’s Office Appoints New Foreign Service Officials

Dominican President Leonel Fernández appointed various officials to serve abroad in embassies, consulates, Foreign Ministry Offices as well as with international organizations, citing Decree number 762-09.


President Fernández appointed Eugenio Matos Gómez as Minister-Counselor of the Dominican Embassy in the Netherlands. José Blanco Conde was promoted to Minister-Counselor of the Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

Andy Rodríguez was designated Minister-Counselor of the Dominican Embassy in Egypt and Ana Carolina González Díaz to the same position in the Dominican Embassy in Washington, D.C. Audrey Gallardo Rivas was appointed Counselor to the Dominican Embassy in India.

Other appointments included Enrique Ricardo Peynado to the post of Consul General of the Dominican Republic in San Pedro Sula, Honduras; Gustavo Martínez , Vice Consul in Boston, Massachusetts and Mónica Arias Soto, assistant to the Dominican Consulate in Porto Prince, Haiti.

Natasha Matías Aybar was appointed first secretary of the Department of State Ceremonies and Protocol of the Foreign Ministry and Rodolfo Joaquín Balaguer was promoted to Counselor of the same department in the Foreign Ministry.
