FLACSO and the Autonomous University Sign Academic Cooperation Agreement

The Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) and the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) signed a cooperation agreement in which they both commit to develop and carry out the planning and implementation of academic activities in the area of Social Sciences.

Both organizations commit to promote and carry out research in Social Sciences, organize and encourage a place for discussion and analysis of the social and political reality of the Dominican Republic.

FLACSO and UASD will create post graduate courses and programs in addition to their mutual responsibilities such as identifying academic areas which are in need of further program development, especially in the field of Social Sciences where there is a great need.

Both organizations commit to promote and carry out research in Social Sciences, organize and encourage a place for discussion and analysis of the social and political reality of the Dominican Republic from the local and regional point of view but always from the social scientific perspective.  

This agreement will be valid for a period of three years and all of its productions and activities will be publicized.

 The agreement was signed by UASD Rector, Doctor Franklin García Fermín and FLACSO Director, Doctor Francisco Cueto Villamán.
