Anthony Jefferson With a Special Concert at the Fiesta Sunset Jazz

 Santo Domingo, June 19, 2018 – This Friday, June 22, the popular Fiesta Sunset Jazz – now nearing its ninth season – will feature singer Anthony Jefferson and his “Summertime!!!” concert.

The renowned singer, with his special velvet voice, talent and charisma – that he masterfully brands on each of his performances – will include in his performance a host of well-known Jazz, Blues and R&B tunes that will delight all music lovers.

Jefferson will be accompanied on stage by saxophonist Eric Litman, Jairo Milanés on the piano, Jhomar Medrano, drums, and Daroll Méndez, on the base.  His special guests will be French opera singer Angela Grifo Cruz and her pianist, Frenchman Manuel Molina.

Jefferson, a native of New Orleans, began his singing career at a very early age.  Raised in an environment rich in Blues, Jazz and R&B, he completed his classical music studies at the California Institute of Art and in the internationally famous Berklee College of Music.

Today, he is recognized as the King of Jazz of the North Zone.  His group will accompany him in performing a selection of songs from these various music genres, including songs from his upcoming CD.

It will be a night that will delight all the senses.  And with Anthony, there is always a pleasant surprise in store for his audience!!!

The scheduled program will feature traditional jazz tunes, as well as R & B and some songs from his upcoming production ¨All I Am.¨

“All I Am” promises to be an extraordinary production.  The CD will have a special song or rhythm for everyone.  Some of the songs to be included are special arrangements of “Marnie,” “Me and Mrs. Jones,” and an innovative productive of the Spanish classical hit “e ¨Bésame Mucho.¨   In this last song, Jefferson will be accompanied by Dominican singer Patricia Pereyra.

The upcoming production will feature Corey Allen as musical director; Allan Leschorn and his studio, and invited musicians: Mark Rapp (trumpet); Sandy Gabriel (sax) and Costa Rican Ernesto Núñez (trumpet), now living in the D.R., just to mention but a few.
