SOS Ambiente RD is a support group for local organizations working in defending protected areas of the Dominican Republic. The group shares the problems that risk the sustainability of protected natural areas and works in articulating efforts towards their protection and conservation. Documentary Isla de Plastico in Dominican theaters
The film is a documentary (Dominican Republic, 2019) about waste management problems in the Dominican Republic. The film is directed by José María Cabral and relies on Nashla Bogaert of Cacique Films as producer and protagonist. It is available in Dominican theaters. Watch the trailer here.
