Nearly 30 food and drink establishments that operate in Agora Mall, in the heart of Santo Domingo, eliminate the use of straws from the month of June in 2019. This initiative, accompanied by a comms campaign aimed at customers and visitors of the Mall with the aim of contributing to awareness of the need to reduce single-use plastics, will save more than a million plastic straws. We take this opportunity to emphasize that Agora Mall is the first LEED-certified mall in Central America and the Caribbean.
