1st Puerto Rico – Dominican Republic Coproduction Meeting October 23rd, 24th, 25th, 2014
Santo Domingo, September 17, 2014

The First Puerto Rico – Dominican Republic Coproduction Meeting aims to become a space in which regional producers, distributors, exhibitors and sales agents can meet each year to present projects that are in the development stage and for which they are seeking funding or distribution channels and/or exhibitors. We hope that this forum can foster strategic alliances, financing, patronage, cooperation and the exchange of experiences, thus enabling the development and revitalization of the audiovisual industries in the Caribbean.

In addition to the participating projects, production houses in both countries that are interested in co-production, as well as the film authorities of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, distributors and exhibitors, and suppliers of services such as: equipment, sponsors in the hotel area, etc. will attend the forum. These guests must cover their expenses for lodging and meals, as well as for any required transportation.

The First Puerto Rico – Dominican Republic Coproduction Meeting will cover the costs of meals and accommodations for the producers and directors of the five Dominican projects that are selected. A double room for four nights will be made available to each project. These participants must cover the cost of their travel to Puerto Rico. In addition to the selected projects, the forum may invite as guests up to five additional projects from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, but they must cover their expenses.

It is possible that guests participate with a stand. Stands will be placed in the areas in which the one-on-one meetings will be held. Participants must cover the costs associated with building the stand, as well as any other expenses related to managing it.

The forum will produce a catalog of the participating projects. Production houses, service suppliers, sales agents and technicians who request it may also be included in the catalog.
