Photo Exhibit “La utopía transgresora” by Ouka Leele

The Cultural Center of Spain, through the Embassy of Spain and the Spanish Cooperation Agency in the Dominican Republic, and as part of the “Weeks of Spain,” presents an original photo exhibit under the name “La utopía transgresora (The transgressive utopia),” by Ouka Leele.

This exhibit is part of the 15 works that have been produced by the artist to represent Spain at the XI Biennial of Art in Cairo, Egypt. It includes a set of images that reveals facts of the life of the 2005 National Photography Prize winner, whose photographic work exudes emotion and lyricism, while recovering the family and adolescent memory full of fetishist nostalgia. The photos that make up this exhibit are made of digital photography and black and white photography.

The exhibit is open to the public from October 3 to November 10, at the Cultural Center of Spain, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm.
