Dominican Foreign Business and Investment Association Announces its 18th Annual Golf Tournament

Like every year for the past seventeen, the Dominican Association of Foreign Business and Investment (ASIEX in Spanish), announced this year´s 18th Classic Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday May 5 when players will take part in the tournament to be held for the first time at the La Estancia Golf and Resort in La Romana.

There will be 96 players competing in the tournament in Categories A, B and C, under the Best Ball Partners category. The gross scores of the tournament will be part of the Miller Golf Challenge.

The information was announced at a cocktail party for the press, friends and relatives given by ASIEX at the Champions Bar of Hotel Jaragua.

Mr. Salvador Demallistre, Executive Director of ASIEX said, “The most important thing for us is the unity of our association. Each year we receive backing from the companies that make up this conglomerate, making the ASIEX Golf Classic one of the most popular among the golfing family in the country. This year the tournament is moving to La Estancia, a golf course that has given us special attention ever since we began discussing the tournament with them back in mid-2011. We also deeply appreciate the sponsors who are the pillars of the tournament. Thank you much for trusting in us,” said Mr. Demallistre.

There will be 96 players competing in the tournament in Categories A, B and C, under the Best Ball Partners category. The gross scores of the tournament will be part of the Miller Golf Challenge.

Two special prizes are on offer in this tournament: two cars, one to be awarded on Hole 3, thanks to Magna Motors and the other on Hole 15 thanks to Viamar. There will also be a prize given for the longest drive, which will start from the first hole to see how close the drive gets to the flag on the 5th hole. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a raffle to be held during lunch at the La Estancia Country Club.
