UNIBE Offers Conference on the Analysis of Dominican Republic Investment Tools

Within the framework of the International Workshop: Bloomberg Portfolio Management, the Ibero-American University(UNIBE), together with the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs(ANJE for its acronym in Spanish), held a Conference on the subject “Analysis of Dominican Republic Investment Tools” this past Wednesday, January 25th. The conference was offered by Héctor Di Bonaventura, Bloomberg’s renowned Account Manager and Business Development Specialist in New York, and it took place at the Stock Market Operations Simulation Lab, which is located at UNIBE.

Following the conference Soraya Santana introduced the new Management and Business programs that are being offered, starting in 2012.

This modern laboratory, which is unique in the Caribbean region, has all the tools necessary for simulating commercial exchange in the “Trading Floor” of the capital market. It uses Bloomberg software which provides real time access to information in capital markets worldwide, with which our students may gain truthful and first-hand experience. It is used by both undergraduate students as well as by students enrolled in the different Business-related master’s degree programs offered by UNIBE.

The event began with remarks by Soraya Santana, Coordinator of Continuing Education at UNIBE’s Graduate School (EGRU), who welcomed all attendees. Mr. Di Bonaventura then began his presentation highlighting the importance of the different tools that are available to the Dominican Republic so that it can become acquainted with the Bloomberg program.

Following the conference Soraya Santana introduced the new Management and Business programs that are being offered, starting in 2012.
