Some 300 children from various schools in the Dominican Republic recently took part in the 39th School Eco-Visit Program, organized by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in coordination with the Ministry of Education.


Participating schools include Los Cacaos, La Reventazón, Madre Vieja, La Cruz, La Lechoza, Centro Integral CEILE, Barbados and Tomás Taveras School.


Students from the provinces of Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, La Romana, San Cristóbal and Santo Domingo have enjoyed the attractions at the Dominican Zoo, the National Botanic Gardens, the National Aquarium and the Museum of Natural History.


Participating schools include Los Cacaos, La Reventazón, Madre Vieja, La Cruz, La Lechoza, Centro Integral CEILE, Barbados and Tomás Taveras School.


More than 11,000 students have attended the School Eco-Visit Program for environmental education and recreation. Through their visits to the Dominican Zoo, National Botanic Gardens, National Aquarium and Museum of Natural History, they have received motivational information in the care and preservation of natural resources and biodiversity.
