The curator of the exhibition will be Mar\u00eda del Carmen Ossaye, and it is an initiative of the DGA\u2019s Foundation for Cultural Heritage, which is integrated Pedro Verg\u00e9s Ciman, President; Eridania Mir, Vice President; V\u00edctor Bison\u00f3, Treasurer; Virginia Franco and Rosa Mar\u00eda Vicioso, members of the board; and Minerva Cocco, Katherine Cocco, Cayo Claudio Espinal, and Freddy Ginebra, members.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Ossaye, who also serves as Secretary to the Foundation, said that this exhibition covers the history of Dominican art, from the modern to the contemporary. It contains artworks by artists: Josep Gausachs, Eugenio Fern\u00e1ndez Granell, Jos\u00e9 Vela Zanetti, Antonio Prats Vent\u00f3s, Paul Giudicelli, Yoryi Morel, Ram\u00f3n Oviedo, Jos\u00e9 Rinc\u00f3n Mora, Eridania Mir, Julio Vald\u00e9z, Ada Balc\u00e1cer, Elsa N\u00fa\u00f1ez, Rosa Tav\u00e1rez and Radham\u00e9s Mej\u00eda. In addition: Clara Ledesma, Dario Suro, Jaime Colson, Domingo Liz, Fernando Pe\u00f1a Defill\u00f3, Fernando Varela, Iv\u00e1n Tovar, Antonio Guadalupe, Sasha Teb\u00f3 and Tony Capell\u00e1n, among other established and contemporary artists, well-known nationally and internationally.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The travelling exhibition \u201cModernidad y Contemporaneidad en el Arte Dominicano: Obras de la Colecci\u00f3n de la Direcci\u00f3n General de Aduanas\u201d started its tour at the AMA | the OAS\u2019s Art Museum of the Americas, in Washington. It continued at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York.
