{"id":7431,"date":"2015-12-17T15:45:46","date_gmt":"2015-12-17T11:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dominicana-online.org\/?p=7431"},"modified":"2015-12-17T15:45:46","modified_gmt":"2015-12-17T11:45:46","slug":"noti5932","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dominicanaonline.org\/en\/noti5932\/","title":{"rendered":"The Dominican Republic is Elected to the Advisory Council of the CACI and the Executive Council of the Ibermedia Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><BR><br \/>\n<TABLE class=texto width=\"90%\" border=0><br \/>\n<TBODY><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD style=\"HEIGHT: 963px\" vAlign=top width=70><IMG class=thinborderfloat1 border=0 alt=\"Fernando Villalona to Reflect on His Life, Music at New York Dominican Get Together\" src=\"\/portal\/noticias\/5932_66.jpg\" width=65><\/TD><br \/>\n<TD style=\"HEIGHT: 963px\" vAlign=top width=7><BR><\/TD><br \/>\n<TD class=texto style=\"HEIGHT: 963px\" vAlign=top align=left><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>The Dominican Republic is Elected to the Advisory Council of the CACI and the Executive Council of the Ibermedia Program <\/STRONG><BR>Santo Domingo, December 17 2015<\/P><br \/>\n<P><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 35px; FONT-FAMILY: Georgia,; FONT-WEIGHT: normal; COLOR: chocolate; LETTER-SPACING: -6px; LINE-HEIGHT: 80%\">T<\/SPAN>he most recent edition of the Conference of Ibero-American Cinematographic Authorities (CACI) and the Ibermedia Program was held in Punta Cana in November of 2015, an event during which the Dominican Republic was elected to the new Advisory Council for this international organization, as well as to the Executive Council of the Ibermedia Program.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The conference was attended by representatives of member states and observers of the CACI: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Portugal, Uruguay, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, as the host country.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The conference started with the welcoming remarks of Ms. Yvette Marichal, Director General of Cinema, representing the Dominican Republic. Addressing the attending authorities, Marichal highlighted the importance of working towards the integration of the countries and of cinematography, indicating that many constructive projects for the Latin American audiovisual sector would result from this meeting.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The Executive Secretary of the CACI, Mr. Manoel Rangel, invited all the member states of this organization to submit their application for its new Advisory Council, which is made of six members. The elected countries were Venezuela, Spain, Colombia, Chile, Peru and the Dominican Republic, which is an honor for the country and another achievement that demonstrates the country&#8217;s growth in the film industry.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Also, as part of this activity, the Ibermedia Program made public the list of projects that were fostered in 2015. In the area of Project Development, 49 productions were promoted. The Dominican productions that were selected were: &#8220;Noches de Penthouse&#8221;, an El Editor Cuir production; &#8220;Mi Peque\u00f1a Olimpia&#8221;, a Estandar Video y Media production; and, &#8220;Jerem\u00edas 17:5&#8221;, producuded by Kakata Productions.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>In the area of co-productions, 56 out of a total of 92 pre-selected projects were accepted, including the Dominican productions: &#8220;Miriam miente&#8221;, produced by Faula Films SRL, Mallerich Films Paco SRL;
