The Oscar Abreu fourth edition of the Dominican Art Auction, made of works by masters and emerging artists from the Dominican Republic, is scheduled to take place next Saturday, August 8, at 5:00 pm, at PRAIA, located at 1805 Carter Avenue, close to 175 St and Webster, in the Bronx, NY 10457.<\/P><br \/>\n<P><\/P><br \/>\n<P>To mark this occasion, the organizers have prepared a program of concerts, which will begin on Monday, August 3, starting at 8 pm, with the presentation of composer Rafael Solano and artist Nin\u00ed C\u00e1ffaro.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>50 lots of original works of art will be offered at this auction. Among the artworks that will participate are those of Dominican maestros Jos\u00e9 Cestero, Pablo Palasso and Dionisio Blanco. Also, key figures of Dominican painting, such as Aram Musset, Jes\u00fas Desangles, Mariano S\u00e1nchez, Jhosy Jim\u00e9nez, Van Robert, Miguel G\u00f3mez and Renato Encarnaci\u00f3n, among others, stand out.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The approach to bidding for the artworks will be as follows: a very brief summary of the curriculum of each artist will be offered before the bidding starts. Those who acquire any artworks that evening may take them that same evening or coordinate with the auction team to have them delivered door to door.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>This auction is a great opportunity for established collectors and new collectors to acquire a great work of art at a very affordable price.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>All artworks will be sold without reservation; this means that all the pieces will be sold, regardless of the price they command. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>Oscar Abreu says that, &#8220;Without a doubt, art is a symbol of power, and every day our community strengthens itself at all levels, social and political.
