The presentations began in Mexico City, continuing in Puebla, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Cancun, with the participation of over 500 travel agents. The Dominican delegation, invited by Detouroper\u2019s Javier Guti\u00e9rrez, Director of Marketing, included: Jakaira Cid, Executive Director of the Puerto Plata Tourism Cluster; Jassil Villanueva, rum master for Brugal &amp; Cia; Carlos Frias, Accord Hotels; Briseida Olivero of the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster; S\u00f3crates McKinney, Artistic Director Dominicana Moda; Audry Gonz\u00e1lez, from the sales department of the Be Live Collection Hotel Marien and Arline Johanna Mar\u00eda, representative of OTIUM Tour Operator along with Ver\u00f3nica Castillo of Assist Card and Copa Airlines Mexico.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Also, under the theme &#8220;Strengths and Corsairs&#8221; they also promoted historical attractions, Dominican capital of Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata that were offered to the Mexican market, noting that the first European settlement in the New World was established in this northern Dominican province. Jakaira Cid, on behalf of the other members of the delegation, thanked Montserrat Despradel for the initiatives being undertaken by the OPT, which publicizes Dominican tourism destinations to the Mexican market.
