The events in Cabarete will begin at 10:00 A.M. when the students of the String Program from \u201cCasa de Arte de Sos\u00faa\u201d will be offering free mini-concerts open to the public in the neighborhoods of La Ci\u00e9naga, Callej\u00f3n de la Loma and Barrio Blanco.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>At 6:00 P.M. a fundraising event will be held at The Beach Club at Sea Horse Ranch, which will include a jazz concert by the talented Rafaelito Mirabal and\u201cSystema Temperado\u201d. There will be a fashion-show featuring the designs of the famous international designer Geannina Azar, and the models will be mothers from our communities, accompanied by children, under the coordination of the Puerto Plata fashion model Jenny Cabrera. Hors-d\u2019oeuvres from famous Chef Rafael V\u00e1squez will be offered, and an auction of one of the art works of the outstanding visual artist Adolfo Faringthon will be held.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>All of the funds raised through the ticket sales will be used for buying music instruments for the new education program started in Cabarete by FEDUJAZZ in January 2015, and at present offers free musical instruction to fourty two children living in poverty in the area. FEDUJAZZ is a non-profit foundation established in 2010 whose main objective it is to bring about social change through music education of Dominican youth. FEDUJAZZ works in alliance with the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival, providing free annual workshops with visiting international musicians, many of whom are Latin Grammy and Grammy award winners, and continuous programs provided for children year-round.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The International Jazz day event in Cabarete is sponsored by Sea Horse Ranch, The Beach Club, UNESCO, International Jazz Day and Casa de Arte de Sos\u00faa.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Tickets will be available in the FEDUJAZZ office in Cabarete, as well as the administrative office of Sea Horse Ranch.
