5th Festival of Hispanic Theater Sponsored by the Dominican Commissioner of Culture<\/STRONG>
New York, January 13, 2015<\/P>

W<\/SPAN>ith a view to recognizing the work and to celebrate the contributions of the community of Latino theater artists residing in North America and Puerto Rico, the Dominican Commissioner of Culture in the United States, an agency of the Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic, announces the Commissioner\u2019s 5th Festival of Hispanic Theater.<\/P>
\n

The Dominican Commissioner of Culture, Mr. Carlos S\u00e1nchez, said that the festival will embrace the cultural expression through theater of the Dominican diaspora in particular, and the Hispanic diaspora in general, who live and participate in the cultural life in the United States and Puerto Rico.<\/P>
\n

“We invite Hispanic playwrights residing in the United States or Puerto Rico to submit their proposals for participation in the Commissioner\u2019s 5th Festival of Hispanic Theater, before February 15th, 2015”, S\u00e1nchez said.<\/P>
\n

The festival will be led by Luis Felipe Rodr\u00edguez, a renowned Dominican actor and theater director.<\/P>
\n

In order to explain the details of the festival, there will be a meeting with theater directors interested in presenting their works at the Commissioner\u2019s 5th Festival of Hispanic Theater, next Thursday, January 22nd, at 7 pm.<\/P>
\n

All proposals may be submitted in person at the office of the Dominican Commissioner of Culture in the United States, or sent by mail to the Dominican Commissioner of Culture in the United States, located at 541 West 145th St., Second Floor, New York, NY 10031. Also, they may be submitted via email to: info@codocul.com<\/A> and teatro.codocul@gmail.com<\/A>. A copy of the registration form will be returned to the sender, duly signed as received.<\/P>
