{"id":7112,"date":"2014-10-21T10:04:51","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T06:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dominicana-online.org\/?p=7112"},"modified":"2014-10-21T10:04:51","modified_gmt":"2014-10-21T06:04:51","slug":"noti56021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dominicanaonline.org\/en\/noti56021\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cLos enigmas del Morfeo Antillano\u201d, Manuel Nina Cisneros"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><BR><br \/>\n<TABLE class=texto width=\"90%\" border=0><br \/>\n<TBODY><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD style=\"HEIGHT: 963px\" vAlign=top width=70><IMG class=thinborderfloat1 alt=\"\u201cLos enigmas del Morfeo Antillano\u201d, Manuel Nina Cisneros\" src=\"\/portal\/noticias\/56021_65.jpg\" width=65><\/TD><br \/>\n<TD style=\"HEIGHT: 963px\" vAlign=top width=7><BR><\/TD><br \/>\n<TD class=texto style=\"HEIGHT: 963px\" vAlign=top align=left><br \/>\n<P><STRONG><SPAN lang=EN-US>\u201cLos enigmas del Morfeo Antillano\u201d, Manuel Nina Cisneros<\/SPAN><\/STRONG><BR>Santo Domingo, October 21, 2014 <\/P><br \/>\n<P><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 35px; FONT-FAMILY: Georgia,; FONT-WEIGHT: normal; COLOR: chocolate; LETTER-SPACING: -6px; LINE-HEIGHT: 80%\">O<\/SPAN>n Thursday, October 23rd, at 7:00 pm, the Mirador Santo Domingo Cultural Center and the Sebel\u00e9n Gallery, will open the exhibition titled \u201cLos Enigmas del Morfeo Antillano\u201d (The Enigmas of the Antillean Morfeo) by renowned artist Manuel Nina Cisneros, from San Crist\u00f3bal.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The exhibition consists of some 33 works in large and medium formats, using mixed techniques on canvas, some of which are part of private domestic and foreign collections.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Amable L\u00f3pez Mel\u00e9ndez, Chief Curator of the Museum of Modern Art, refers to Nina Cisneros as the \u201ccreator of one of the newest, attractive and original visual universes available to today\u2019s Dominican painting.\u201d<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Among the most striking works in the exhibition are: \u201cTren sobre rieles despejados\u201d and \u201cLargo amanecer\u201d (2010); \u201cAtemporal\u201d, \u201cLago Memorial\u201d, \u201cPuerto seguro\u201d (2011) and \u201cUno que viene, otro que va\u201d (2012).<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The curatorial team of \u201cLos Enigmas del Morfeo Antillano\u201d is headed by renowned art critics Amable L\u00f3pez Mel\u00e9ndez and Abil Peralta Ag\u00fcero; Kiara Paniagua, event coordinator; together with gallery owner Ranier Sebel\u00e9n and Nina Cisneros, who, on this occasion, assumed the responsibility of publishing the first monograph of the artist&#8217;s work, which will be introduced during the opening of the exhibition.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Manuel Nina Cisneros was born in San Crist\u00f3bal in 1978. In his teens he began his artistic studies in the studio of his cousin, renowned artist Dionisio Blanco, and then expanded his training at the National School of Fine Arts, where he received master classes in drawing, composition, color and material from teachers Marianela Jim\u00e9nez (1925-2013), Rosa Tav\u00e1rez, Amable Sterling and Alonso Cuevas.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>In 2004, Nina Cisneros has his first solo exhibition at the Museo de las Casas Reales.
